I was born in Manila, Philippines with Tagalog as my first language. I attended Colegio San Agustin in Makati before moving to San Diego, CA where I began my public school education. In the middle of elementary school, my family moved to Northern California- a small suburb of Sacramento where I finished elementary, middle, and high school.
After high school, I went on to study business [marketing] at Indiana University, Bloomington...go HOOSIERS! I also studied Apparel Marketing & Design at California State University, Sacramento. In December of 2006, I completed the credential program at CSU Sacramento in Family & Consumer Sciences. A few weeks later, I began my career at Miller.
I have been teaching at Miller since January 2007. I have taught Leadership, Survival Skills (Life Skills/Consumer Ed), 6th Grade Exploratory Wheel, Fashion/Design/Crafts, and Foods & Nutrition/Food Science. I currently teach electives in grades 6-8 and am a Student Council and Girls Who Code adviser.
